Here is how to put the 9005 in the 9006 housing.
The HIR are surely even better, it's all about the lumens you put out. The oem c5 lights are crap and the Silver Star (I've had many) are marketing bs about light color & such.
The other true improvement you can do is rewire any quad light setup so the lows stay on when you trigger the highs.
That doesn't help driving around town with lows on however, for that you just need better lows.
Painless has the quad kits, I did my Suburban with stock lights & it's decent now. When I drive out in the desert I can SEE.
