What's the best way/location to get a wire from the passenger foot well to the engine compartment. I don't see anything obvious.

Please discuss what you are attempting to install/hook up.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Been there and resolved that issue!!!!!

Look at the area where the main wiring harness goes thru the fire wall near the battery.

I fished a metal coat hanger under and thru the rubber seal/gromet. Make sure that you bend a SMOOTH LOOP in the end of the wire for TWO reasons.

1.. So you dont tear/damage anything
2.. So you can attach the thing that your want to pull thru the hole..

Here is my heated seat power wires going from the under hood fuse center B+ connection to the passenges fooot well.

Make sure that you put a drip loop into the harness so water doesnt follow the cable into the passengers foot well. Tape up the new /old harness to seal it up.

EASY JOB!

I'm going to use the ground and hot wire off the footwell fuse panel to ground and power a lighted switch that will then power a relay that I will use to power a transmission cooler pump. The relay will be mounted near the underhood fuse box/battery area.

If you need a full time HOT B+ source under the hood, Its best to get it at this point. Make SURE that you FUSE the power wire close to the attachment point like this:

That looks like same fuse holder I was planning on using. It's capable of 30 amps and it uses #10 wire. The cooler pump recommends a 30 amp fuse so hopefully that will all come together for me.

I was able to push a #14 guage wire through w/o a coat hanger. The other option would be to push a small guage solid wire through to use as a pull back. The smaller the guage the less likely you are to nick other wires. be sure to tape the loop before pulling it back through.
