Phil
With OEM sized links in hand, I think that Hotchkiss is a good bar. Mine are nicely powder coated, with the co logo emblazoned in the rear bar. Looks nice when on a lift. My problem with them a few years ago was their total DISINTEREST in helping me in my problem, with replacing a faulty link of theirs. Hence my warning about customer service, so that you do not fall into the situation I found myself in. Regards

You could have chosen to spend a couple of minutes to determine the currency and/or validity of your post before making it, but you instead chose to toss out a criticism of the way Hotchkis did business several years ago and exclaim "caution". Seemed like you were trying to get even for an imagined or real wrong years ago ... Kinda like your overboard reply to my post.

Your use of "unconscionable marketing strategy" kind of indicates that you are still quite wound up years later over a couple of end links. You may have indeed had a reasonable complaint some years ago, but maybe it's time to let it go?

If our true intent here is to help others, which is admirable, then shouldn't we post current and accurate information?

And, I did decide to go with the ZO6 links. But, neither the C5 or the ZO6 links were problematic. If I was tracking, I would have likely chosen a different set of links, but for canyons and auto cross it has simply not been an issue.

And, I do agree with others that the C6 Z51 sways are a great solution.

My warning to phil hunter was made without malice towards anyone, and it was duly qualified with the appropriate disclaimer, that the situation may no longer exist, as it did in my instant.

A reasonable person of ordinary prudence (a fictional person in law cited to make a point) would understand this, but unfortunately you do not appear to be such a person.

Evidently I was sold a set of bars of an old design, which accepted only their own end-links. When I needed their proprietary part for application to their product, they would or could not provide it. The person I spoke to did not even pretend to care. It was as simple that.

My presentation was rooted in truth and fact, and you inserted yourself into a matter that did not concern you, since you haven’t walked in my shoes.

I have no compelling interest to update anything in 2013, or at any time in the future, until I have a material interest in the outcome. Research attaches to whoever stands to benefit from having been cautioned to do so.

Lastly I wish to address your patronizing admonishment:

If our true intent here is to help others, which is admirable, then shouldn't we post current and accurate information?“

By bringing my integrity into question you have crossed the line, and I have no further interest in acknowledging your presence on the forum.

One would not be too far out on a limb in concluding that you are a pompous, condescending, quarrelsome ... Well, you know what you are, and with a serious reading comprehension deficit at that.
=======
PS. About Z06 links and Z51 sways. How did they get into this discussion. Where did I mention these items. How is it that care? I don’t care if you use broomsticks and rubber bands.

Any future bickering will certainly have one less actor – ME
Allowing myself to be swept up into it is almost embarrassing. It was my first, and it won’t participate again. GRT

No need to hide under a chair. Your personal attacks speak quite clearly of your need to be unquestioned and so you shall remain henceforth.
