Default Quick easy C5 mods

I have a 1997 vette that I've had for 4 months now. I was just wondering if anyone had any tutorials on some useful easy mods. I've done some small things and fixed other things and now I'm out of stuff to do. it's a slow day and I have some free time that I wanted to put towards my vette. any suggestions are appreciated!

here's some info on my car:
year: 1997
color: Arctic White
Mileage: 91k
Transmission: Auto 4spd with overdrive
mods: Blackwing CAI, Mufflers, Sound System, Blacked out brake lights & reverse lights
miscellaneous things done to it: cleaned TB, cleaned MAf sensor, cleaned air intake, ZR1 Rims

"Fangs" are an easy mod and very reasonable at less than $50.

If you don't have an aftermarket air intake, I'd recommend a Blackwing. Easy to install and a nice upgrade over the stock air cleaner.

How about painting your calipers too.

the known mods to the car are actually a blackwing CAI and some type of exhaust. looks to just be a muffler though. I have pics I can post from when it was in the air. it also has ZR1 rims. other than that and the sound system I put in it looks to be stock.
I'd like to do more performance upgrades than looks though!

A simple mod is blacking out the lower rear facia. Tape and a can of spray bomb or even Plasti-dip. I have an add-on piece but the effect is the same. Looks particularly good on Arctic White.

For performance mods, you don't say whether you're auto or manual. The next obvious step either way is going to cost. If an M6, long tube headers and if an A4, 3.42 gears.

"Advantage", probably not, however the material the Fangs are made of is a lot like the fenders of dirt bikes and is very slick and durable. I wish I had spent some time cleaning/sanding/painting my damaged supports before covering them with new Fangs. Just think of them like a good wax job or anything else you might do to protect your Corvette. After almost one year of use, mine show a few scrapes on the Fangs (must have been when my wife was driving) but still look very good.

If I was buying a new C5 I would install Fangs right after the new license tag.

If you have a M6, search the forum for "Anti-venom mod" and "Ranger method."

Hi,
Not only do the Fangs keep your skid plates looking good, the main and most important thing is they eliminate the friction that can cause the breakage of the lower radiator support. The C5 steel or C6 aluminum skid plates tend to get dig in and get really good traction (friction)when scraping that puts a lot of stress on the support that can cause breakage. The Fangs eliminate the friction and will just slide when scraping. Most of the time you don't even hear that you scraped.

Check the videos. The noise is the air dam not the Fangs.
Click the "Watch Fangs in action!" button.
