XS Power Header Install Review
We worked on the removal of all the required stuff over a few evenings. We started the actual installation this morning about 8:30 and finished for our test drive at 2:00pm.
Our only hang up was getting the headers up in place. When people say it can be a pitta, they are for real. I had to stop and regroup a few times because there is deffinately very little room for error on fitting them up threw the bottom. That being said, we were on jack stands about 20 inches off the ground. After we finally figured out the correct angles, every thing else went as planned.
I did use different manifold gaskets than the ones that were furnished with the kit, but that was just my prefference.
Here's a few pics that the Mrs took while we were working.
What came off.....
What went on.....
Car on stands....
Look from underneath....
...and a teaser pic from autcross just because!!!
I have this exhaust mounted to a SLP Loudmouth rear and it sounds unbelievable. Can't wait for a tune this Spring.
I would highly recommend this exhaust and "do it your self" install!!

Will be interesting to see if those clamps drag from time to time. I used non stepped band style clamps which work excellent. They form to the joint well. I like my XS Power setup, my car makes great power.

Nice pics. Sure do enjoy my xs headers/exhaust. They sound great and once you get it tuned the car pulls fast. BTW seeing your sway bar and the autocross pic remind me I definitely should get on upgrading my suspension. Mods never end!

Any issues with interference at the steering shaft? I put mine in last summer when I changed the engine. I also added Delrin Motor Mounts. After half a season of track only driving, the header wore a 1/16" deep groove into the aluminum steering shaft. When static there is clearance, but in high G right turns it must rub the shaft. I'm not knocking the product, I think they are great and quality is top notch. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem or if it's just the Delrin mounts that caused the issue. I'm just about to go pull the header and dent it where the shaft hits.
