LS6 valley cover
I am trying to pick the right one of these valley covers. Anyone one know which part number is for which engine, and which is the best to use on the LS1? Would the latest style have any benefits over the earlier? Or should price be the ruling factor?

I don't recall the part number and would need to check my photos, but I believe it to be the last on your list. I installed the one that doesn't require an external PCV valve as the restriction is built into the cover itself. If someone doesn't verify the number I can check later.

I have a 99 and used 12577927 with a catch can. I had to cut a small chunk out of the block so it would fit. I have almost eliminated oil consumption using it. I found a forum that showed hot to do the conversion and to re-route the hoses. I would suggest using 12577927 if at all possible.

I used those instructions but with12577927. I just did this back in April 2012. For that cover and the plug listed on the above site I paid $88.34 shipped from GM Parts House (Patrick).
