Third brake light
1. Check a fuse. Which one under the passenger door controls it? Also, my hood light is out
2. Pull light bar and check it?
3. If I strike out at the above, could I tap the third brake lights positive and negative wire into a regular brake light circuit?
Am I missing something stupid because I'm stupid?
What is the "light bar" that you are referring to??? If it's the 3rd brake light itself, yes, you can take it out and use a battery to check the bulb. There are two small screws that hold the light assembly in place. I think they were 8mm hex. When you get it out check the two pins that the wiring harness plugs into. One pin was bent on mine causing it not to illuminate. Access is from behind the license plate as already mentioned.
The information about the 3rd being on the same circuit (same fuse) helped a ton. Thanks. Just narrows down the detective work. Kudos!
Cleaned up connectors (male and female).......no joy.
Traced wires back to bundling, but really don't care to open that up. Back to the original bailing wire option of running third brake wires to brake lights hot and ground wires.
Any other ideas? Thanks a ton guys!
