Engine rebuild question
Hey guys, kinda new here but please bare with me. Bought a 98 vette with a spun mains so im redoing the crank, replacing rod, main & cam bearings. so my question is since there are shavings in the engine oil gallies is there a possibility they could have gotten to the lifters? Because i dont really want to take the heads off, if theres no need. Did anybody run into this b4?

Honestly I would tear the engine completely apart and have it freshened. But, for that kind of money you can find some nice low mile LS2 or LS3 short blocks. Now's the time to do it right and to do it once.
