Swapping C5 shifter for C6

Had a few questions on doing this.

1. Will the C6 shifter bolt right up?

2. Will the C6 shift boot also fit a C5 without modifying it?

3. Also, since I would be using a stock C6 shift ****, where can I get a small corvette jake decal to stick on the shift **** plate? I'd clear coat over it also (or paint over the decal and pull the decal off).

I tried searching but could not find out if people have used the C6 shift boot on a C5.

There is no need to use a C/6 boot with a C/6 shifter.
You can use the C/5 boot with the C/6 shifter.

You can do this.
