I had Depo flush headlights but went back to stock last night. After installing the lights I tested and the lights went up just fine but only go down when I cycle the switch to off then press the lever foward to the highbeam function. They are not making funny noises or having issues cycling so its not the motor. They were working fine before I took them out. I tried to do a search but didnt find anything so I apologize if this has been coverd before. I checked fuses and all ok. Also dash lights and all other lights work properly including high beams.
previously did you have HID's in both hi and low beams?
Turning the hi beams on to get the lids to go down is SOP with HIDs. I don't mind doing it but if it bugs you then you need to install an inline resistor. I don't like that idea because when you install a resistor it uses energy and disapates heat.I don't like wasted energy or heat.
So I hate to beat a dead horse but... I have been gone since I posted this and have not installed a resistor. I have used the head lights a few times since I have been home and now a ballast has gone bad. This is the 3rd time in the past year I have replaced a ballast. Is there a fix for this? Will a resistor fix this issue?
