Default Oil change
Is royal purple synthetic oil a good oil to switch to than Mobil 1. I'm trying to quiet down the ticking sound. Or is there any other brand/type oil suggestions?

Are you experiencing constant valve train noise? Or are you referring to the common piston slap at cold start?
Ive heard some people complain about noise after switching to RP and other oils, then going back to Mobil1. But it wouldn't hurt to try.

I use Mobil1 0w-40 European. Has more zinc and phosphorus. I get it at walmart for $6.47 per qt.
