Default interior help

I decided to redo the carpet in my car it's a 99 hatch. I went with a darker grey than stock. So i opted to redo the tail light section. its the 3 pieces all the way in the back. Now the question is how the f**k do you remove the carpet from it? I've tried a razor wich works but is so so slow. I tried soaking it in laquer thinner tried sanding it with a orbital sander didn't work. I tried a disk grinder with a cut off wheel that worked decent. But I'm afraid of screwing the piece up. There has to be an easier way. any help please?

If you're talking about the three vertical panels in the very back I would check Corvette Recyclers or some other vendor. I think it would be easier and not too expensive to replace all three panels providing you're going with a factory color interior. Just my opinion.

Start over and get the real carpet set, the fit will be much better. Live and learn. Your not going to get that skin off.

If the razor works, set up a television, something to drink and do the work.

I did the same in mine. If you see my interior makeover pics in the general discussion, it's definitely do-able. I used a few fine tip screwdrivers and a paint scraper to remove the carpet and leftover adhesive. It's time consuming but a money saver. I tried about every possible option to help ad nothing worked. Good luck!

Isn't that just fuzzy material and not carpet?
These "complete" carpet set are never complete. I had to go on flee bay just to get the small piece on the passenger side by the lower left side of the glove box.
Being a vert, i only have 1 full piece on the tail light wall.
