no abs! how?

I took mine off,Brakes work alot better now.Also took out the ABS fuses and took out the ABS & Traction control light bulbs from the dash.Took out the EBCM,Got a 3 way adapter on the single rear brake line and ran my own brake lines to the rear wheels,Also ran my own brake lines from the line loc to the front wheels.The only message I get is SERVICE ENGINE SOON and I have to hit reset.I can live with that

I removed the abs on my sons 96 Firebird drag car. I bought the proportion valve at summit racing. Thing is you will have to change the fittings on all the brake lines to do so. I removed all the brake lines and took them to a shop that makes brake lines to have the correct fittings installed. We used the original master cyclinder. They work great, but we are only running in a straight line.
