Not hard at all just open headlights then turn it back one notch it will stay open without headlights on tak the plastic trim around each headlight off to get to bulbs (hope you have small hands ) if you want To take headlight buckets out its easier but I didn't do it anyway plug n play I do recommend buying the hid resister plug heard all of guys say there lights wouldn't close without it
