Default Cam retainer plate question

Hi, Im doing a cam swap in my 2001 z-06.I bought a new camshaft retainer plate,it is the new style with the recessed holes. My question is can I use the old bolts from the first design plate witch has the bolts that stick out or do I have to get the recessed ones?Should I even reuse the old one it only has 24000 miles on it with no wear? Thanks for your thoughts I really would like to finisdh this up this weekend if possible!!

I'd just reuse the old one if there's nothing wrong with it.

No, you must use the new bolts and the torque value is different as well. There are aftermarket ones that are the same design as the original you removed. Personally, if you want to swap it, I would go that route as some of the cam plates with the countersunk holes have cracked during use. I can get all the correct part numbers if you need them but I would try some aftermarket parts places to see if you can find the original design.
