The Centre console on my 2002 C5 Targa has no storage depth but instead it is very shallow and felt lined.
Is this a fault or deliberate design?
It is a European seen car though I cant see this making a difference to the centre console. Ive seen other cars that have a very deep storage capacity?
Theres not many vettes around my way which is good for me. People fall over themselves when they see me approaching.
Its like no other car on UK roads. Everyone loves it.....even the envious types that pretend not to notice until you spot them looking in the corner of you eye.
I think theres only around 200 C5s in the whole of the UK. GM has pulled out of the UK because of poor sales which was really down to very bad marketting on their part. They have left 10 official dealers very angry after officially introducing the car to the market only a couple of years ago.
Shallow and felt lined sounds it it describes all C5 consoles. I can fit my sunglasses case OR a cd case or 2 laid flat and that's about it. I hope you didn't buy the car for the storage space or the cup holders!
Man, I would have loved to go cruising around London in a C5 when I was there last year (over Sept 11 no less) if I wasn't scared to death of they way you guys drive! :) I saw 2 C4s and one Z28 while I was over there. I saw more Elises, F360s, and other 'exotics' than Vettes.
The center console storage depth might be 1.5" to 2" max.
The driveline tunnel is right below the storage area so there ain't no more room! :yesnod: :D
