If you drop that much money into a build a solid tranny is no big deal....I think its more likely that they realize how unusable the car is for anything fun.

You'd have VERY rare chances to ever take it above 3000 RPM lol

That thing is probably at 700+ torque by 3500 RPM lol

You start smoking tires at around 420 torque, at 700 you would be just leaving little melted puddles of rubber everyplace that you barely tapped the peddle.

So ironically you would have a 1000 HP car that you had to drive like a Granny everyplace....and that you would never be allowed to drive on a track!

Take the boost down to something REASONABLE (6-7psi vs 19 he has it at) and I bet you could live with it. Look at that silly mess he has under the hood, changing spark plugs would probably take a week.

Default Here is the bottom line

In the add for the car , this is what he wrote:
This car made 1,004 hp at 19 psi. Dyno sheets available.
Call with questions 608-449-5861 .
Will consider trading up or down, but please be realistic.

This guy will take "ANY Thing " Up or down... just to get out from under this car.

Not something I would want to consider.

Yup, I was friends with him back when I lived in PA, helped turn wrenches on that beast a few times. The car is sick.

If that car went for 42' I don't want to know what I would get for my vette

The car has an RPM level V auto trans in it. Or it did several years ago

Too much HP to control, unless it is to be a drag strip car. About the only thing this monster is good for now.

Get to 550 RWHP and 500 ft lbs torque is absolutely ideal, IMHO. Need Z06 level suspension or above though.
