Default Throttle Body Cleaning

I suspect this has been covered many times, but I'm new to C5 ownership. I read on another post that the TB is easily located by first taking off the air cleaner assembly. I have searched YouTube but have not found any videos for this. Also, Haynes does not seem to have made a DIY manual for the C5. I'd like to remove, clean and reinstall it with a new gasket (if necessary), but I need some guidance. Thanks for any help.

Very easy to remove and clean---Must 1st take off the air bridge--remval of the air filrer assy may not be needed---
Unplug the wire pigtail but be cautious not to break it as they become brittle--- You should have 3 or 4 bolts that hold on the T-body
Brake clean is good to use or T-body cleaner--Be extremely careful not to bend the throttle blade
ALSO when off the blade is NOT completely closed so don't panic--
Since a C5 has no IAC the throttle is cracked open at the rest position
When re installing be careful not to overtighten the bolts--The nuts are zerted into plastic and may pop out
Another alternative is while it's out send it off to be professionally ported S-2 performance is the best -Only about $175 takes about a week--adds 3-6 RWHP and increases thrittle response greatly

I've thought about doing that. Any tuning needed with that mod?

No -- Just drive it normal around town and some freeway--apprx 50-75 miles to allow the fuel trims to "learn out" It may idle or act a liitle weird until you do so---The more modded you are the longer it will take---A stockish engine may only take 30 miles or so---
