I have had a window commander for years. The past couple of years, the passenger window will rise slower than the drivers side and not make it all the way to the top. I have to hit the key fob 3 more times or 6 more times to get it to close all the way. why is this happening? Is it my window motor? something else? Thx
Window Valet? Sounds like it's your motor, have you ajusted the settings for the window valet? You can adjust the "strength" required for the windows to shut. It'll still be slow, but maybe it'll start shutting all the way for you. The instructions say "less sensitive" Here

there actually was a window "Commander" - out long before TopDownTech released their Window Valet.
The Commander was individual modules; installed in each door.
To the OP; the Commander installed in series with the window motor harness. The best way to troubleshoot this (if you truly have the "Commander") is to unplug the Commander on that particular door, plug the factory harnesses back to each other, and then see if the window motor operates any faster.
Thanks, Mike! It is actually the window commander. I also have a window valet which I purchased when I thought the window commander went bad but it ended up being a blown fuse. I never installed the window valet- now might be the time to do so.
I will take the door panel off in the Spring. There is too much sand and ice on the road now to take the vette out of hibernation.
