Need help guys.... I just got my abs module off (havent even cleaned the blood off my forearms yet) and want to know which place is best?
Module master says they have a five year guarantee and a couple folks on the forum have mentioned absfixer. There is one here in Ga myairbags.com that say they do it also with lifetime warranty and half the price. Want it fixed right the first time so willing to pay the higher price....
Need anybodys opinion, gonna mail out to one of them in the morning.
What failure code caused you to remove the module? If it was C1214 did you also check the BPMV motor circuit to see if it was shorted to the BPMV case? If the circuit is shorted to the case that causes an excessive current draw through the relay in the EBCM thus causing the C1214 and you the BPMV will have to be replaced as well or the failure will come back when the excessive current burns the replacement relay in the repaired EBCM. To check the BPMV you have to disconnect the BPMV output harness and check the resistance from wires to the BPMV case. If you measure any thing but Infinity then the BPMV is bad.
Just got mine back from absfixer. Shipped it on a Tuesday and got it back that Saturday. Five days ain't bad. Reinstalled it that afternoon. Completely satisfied.
I used Module Master two years ago and my EBCM is still going strong. Their service was excellent. I actually purchased a complete rebuilt EBCM from them because I wanted to hold on to my original one as backup. They sent me one fairly quickly and it only cost me $250.00.
