Default Crank position sensor?

Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum and all, but I am needing some advice here and I am pretty stumped. I been trying to research why and how I can replace my crank position sensor. My car is currently throwing up a code from the PCM PO336, and code RFA U1000 will both appear at the same time. I understand that the U1000 means PCM connection error or so down the line, and the po336 is the crank position. Well when they both Appear it takes several minutes to try to clear them out and get my car started. Now it's worse, it's throwing the same codes as along with PO335 and when I try to clear them out same thing happens. But then it takes even longer to start and there is no way possible of driving the car.

So my question is,

Is this the crank position for sure?

If so, changing it out will clear all my problems?

If not, what else could it be?

And once again if so, is there any way possible or easy way too change it out due to having long tube headers on the car.

Thanks for anyone's help in advance!

The only thing I can help you is that you will have to take off the LT's in order for you to take the starter out. I had to replace my CPS since I fried the wires from the headers.
