no codes thrown. here is what happens.
bumper to bumper traffic the car gets sluggish, bad throttle response somewhat bogging after in traffic 10-15 minutes until past 1500. run out past 1500 and it acts right. Get into stop and go traffic again and after about 10-15 minutes it starts again. Temps good, pressures good.
any ideas? thinking it may be o2 sensors, but that would throw a code wouldnt it? or is this a possible tune problem?
Sometimes idle (or near idle)issues like this can be mixture related like too much EGR (exhaust gas recircualtion) flow which may not throw a code. Fouled/fouling plug at low rpm? If it continues I would hope at some point you will get a code. The fact that it takes 10-15 minutes in traffic before it starts also indicates some possible heat soak issue. What of course is the question. Try running some injector cleaner and see if that has any effect.
- SPARKPLUGS Gap and condition. If the plugs are fouled, it could cause that issue. How does it run WOT??
- IGNITION SWITCH Voltage Output. If the Voltages that supply the modules, injectors and coils on the (HOT IN RUN and START are not correct, they could have a negative effect when over alternator battery over all output is low. Do you have ANY DTCs (HISTORY) at all????

- Dirty MAF/Throttle Body/Throttle blade..
- Does it smoke when it faulters??
Bill
Doesnt smoke, but 1 thing i believe that will make a difference that i am hoping is that last night i put the rx dual check valve catch can in place. I have noticed a lot of oil in the intake and throttlebody and believe this may have something to do with it. Replacing plugs is this weekend. Time to do so anyway and it goes in for complete tune in two weeks after i upgrade the fuel system. I know its running rich.
