exhaust cut outs C5
Does anyone have exhaust cut-outs on their C5? My '02 stock engine has the Corsa Extreme exhaust and it's quieter than my other middle Corsa(pace or touring?). When I put the other Corsa on my '04, it's loud and sounds great at idle;I don't understand that. I know the C6 has that mild to wild but what about the C5? Thanks

I have the loud mouth slp exhaust with bassani x pipe and im super happy with the sound and performance. I had the borla on it previously and it just wasnt the great sound i wanted at idle. I have recently installed long tubes on it so its insane loud and love it. But if u want some good electrical cut outs go to quicktime performance. I have a down pipe with electrical cut out on my srt4 and love it. They offet electrical cut outs for corvettes as well.

Get the ovals if you do go this path. The ovals are nice with their lower profile - unfortunately, they weren't available at the time I installed mine.
I did a lot of planniing and measuring when I installed my round QTP cutouts. I had a set of Y-pipes that were part of my FLP headers that ended up not working with the electric cutouts. The Y-pipes were meant to be capped/uncapped manually so they fit in the larger, forward section of the torque-tube tunnel. It was a no-go with the QTP's though - not nearly enough room to do the Y-pipes with QTP's. So, I ended up installing them just before the over-axle pipe flanges and that worked out nicely.
A non-starter - Y-pipe trial fit
I modeled them up in CAD first to try different positions and then had an exhaust shop weld the flanges in.

There was a forum member (and vendor, IIRC) who welded a set into his Z06 Ti catback.
