Default Tire sensor problems, please help!

Hi, recently one of my tire sensors was reading "xxx" in the display. I purchased a new sensor and had it installed. I "learned" it and drove several miles at different speeds and it is reading 0 tire pressure and says that the tire is flat! The car chirped when I learned it so it acknoledged the sensor. I have since relearned it several times. All of the other sensors work except for my new one. I would think if the sensor was dead or bad that the car would not recognize it and it would just read "xxx' still in the display. Am I missing something here or has anyone had this happen to them before? Thank you in advance for any light you can shed on this for me.

Are you trying to learn just the one new sensor? I think (someone correct me if i'm wrong) you have to go through the process of learning all 4 even tho you only have one new one.

Also be sure you have the correct part for your car. There are 2 different kinds of sensors.

Then, you sometimes have to drive for a while to get them to read.

Just checking, did you start on the left front and learn all four in order to rf, the rr, then lr? You may have to drive further to get the sensor to activate from the centrifugal force to activate it. The magnet had to activate it for the learn procedure if the horn honked, but it may not be turning on at speed yet. It goes to sleep at rest to save the battery. Drive some more. It must have read zero pressure at some time or you would be getting "xxx" instead. I would try driving some more before I did anymore work with it.

Thank you all for your imput. Yes, I learned all 4 sensors, you have to the way it is set up in the computer, you can't just do one. It did read 0 pressure before I installed it. I learned it outside of the car before installing it because I have spent time and money to install a sensor before just to find out that it was a bad sensor so since then I make sure the car communicates with it before installing it. I have learned it several times since it was installed and still nothing. Maybe it will eventually read pressure but I have driven quite a bit, at least 80 miles so far. It tells me my tire is flat and has 0 pressure.
