Factory radio question
Can I install a non bose head unit/cassette from older c5 in my 2001 c5 (it has factory bose cd player currently)?

I'm not positive but I would think it would have a lot to do with if you have the bose system or not. Wiring harness should be the same but if you have bose speakers I don't think it would work.

Thanks I got bose factory system. Do you mean that i might not be able to replace my bose cd player with older non bose head unit ?

The bose speakers and amplifier will work with an aftermarket HU...but you need to purchase an amplifier interface adapter ($40 to $100).
Two I am familiar with are ROEM-VET1 and Soundgate Gmvrc2 (there are others). I have the ROEM-VET1 made by PAC. I never installed my JVC 7 inch flat screen therefore I never used the harness. I can't comment on quality or installation, but it definitely can be done. Search the forum there are tons of write ups on this topic.
