I would say yes, if the nose raises you are transfering more weight to the rear wheels. Some people remove their front swaybars to transfer more weight to the rear.

When the front tires leave the road surface, all of the weight of the car is sitting on the rear tires. With this situation, the rear tires have their maximum grip, and therefore, maximum acceleration can occur. As the front tires raise even higher, acceleration goes down because you have to back down on the throttle inorder to avoid going over onto the roof. So for drag racing, you want the weight to transfer. Notice that TF dragsters leave the line with their front tires just off the road surface (but within inches of the surface). You only need the front tires to steer (and later to brake) in drag racing.
Drag shocks are valved to let the nose of the car easly go up, but restrict the nose coming down. This is called uplock. Interestingly this is exactly backwards from the way road racing shocks are valved.
