RED99HT, my buddy Andy took care of those while I was putting the steering rack in but it's not that bad at all with them on the car. Just use an overhead type spring compressor, have a magnet tool ready to get the keepers (aka valve locks) and they slide right out. You MUST USE COMPRESSED AIR to keep the valves in the cylinders up. I highly suggest checking out the cam install here: http://www.torquecentral.com/mods/GM...ll/default.asp That will give you all the info you need ;)
MattG, already got them set in the negative region ;) just gotta figure out how exactly you adjust the PE vs RPM table before I hit the dyno, got any suggestions? :D BTW, your sig pic is AWESOME!
This cam is flat out awesome. I don't even listen to the radio anymore. I just drive with the windows down and stop at every light and make complete stops at every stop sign just to hear it idle. Damn it's BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only part of the cam install that I had help with was loosening and torqueing the crank pulley, it was a pain in the butt. If I would have had a helper for the whole project they would have been mostly taking pictures and pushing me to get done faster.
I just got LS1Edit today, I might even go back to the track once or twice more to see what I can get on stock manifolds/cats, but headers are coming soon, I promise!

C5 Noir, YOU ARE A SICK MAN!:D That's why i like you!
Well, I must say I was a little leary about firing her up the first time to do the first heat cycle. It fired right up and found its idle and loped like a ****. It sounds sooooooooo nice. It's tame yet mean (no cats on the car ;)). If I had the cats on you'd barely notice it. Inside the car very little shake which will be alleviated after I bump up the idle to around 825 and get my TB hole correct.
....It's so sweet to sit at a light with your ride going, "lumpity lump lump". Very intimidating to others :D
