Sometimes a search can turn up a wealth of information. I searched using the term "brake fluid" and used current and archieved topics.....got more info than I would ever need :D
So since more than a few people are doing brakes, lines etc right now, I decided to post a poll (my 1st ever!) and start a discussion on price and availablity (local/internet/etc). Personally, I need something local to bleed 'em today :D
I've added the choices that I gleaned from the search, please add more as applicable
I chose to go with ATE SuperBlue fluid. It seemed to have the best balance of price performance to meet my needs, which is mostly street driving with a couple of days each summer of track driving. Its reasonably priced at around $15 per liter. I got mine through L.A.P.D. If you absolutely got to have it today, its easiest to find the Ford fluid at a Ford Dealer. I'd call first, I'm not sure all of them carry the fluild.
Shawn @ LAPD assembled my brake package and he recommended ATE Blue Racing Fluid. Sure looks nice. Does it work any better than other's - who knows? I'm happy and that's all that counts.
question for the motul 600 users, how often do/should you change your brake fluid? I'm leaning towards Motul 600, but don't want to have to change it very often....
For daily use I've ended up with the Valvoline Syntec Dot 4 fluid. Has fairly decent wet & dry boiling points, and doesn't seem to pick up moisture too quick. Biggest advantage is that I can find it just about anywhere.

Have a good one,

I used this on my Daily Driver.. Replaced all the fluid with this stuff. The old fluid was 10 years old and over 185,000 miles..
