Some of you may know, I will be a new 2002 C5 owner. I wanted to change all the fluids as soon as I took ownership this way I can establish a new baseline for myself. This is what I have thus far:
Motor Oil: 7qts of Mobil-1 5w-30
Brake & Clutch: DOT 4
Radiator: 3gals of 50/50 Antifreeze
Injector cleaner: 1 bottle of Techron
Power Steering fluid: GM Brand or Redline
I am having trouble identifying Rear differential fluid & transmission fluid (Z06 box). Need to know quantity & brand. Heard good things about royal purple. Local Vette shop quoted me $800 for all fluid changes!!! Above list thus far is $128
I have done a lot of manuals and autos with amsoil. Vettes, Mazda's, BMW's, MB's, Honda's, Toyota's and so on withe the different amsoil trans fluids. Everyone of them noticed a immediate difference whether it was smoother of fixed an issue with the way it was shifting. I have it in all 5 of my cars, motorcycle and all my outdoor power equipment. As everyone would say, it's your opinion, but satisfied customers speak for themselves. It is the best available period. Use it and you will not go back. Next time you change the other fluids, use the amsoil products. They can't be beat.

When I did all my fluids, I pretty much stuck with the OEM fluids except for the trans where I used the Amsoil Torque Drive which can be bought by the gallon.
I used GM 88862624 75w90 gear oil which alread has the friction modiier in it for the differential (2 qts)
I used a 50/50 mix of OEM Dexcool, and OEM DOT 3 for the brakes and clutch. Power steering was the OEM stuff.

Reason: typo
I would use the GM manual transmission fluid in the 6 speed. For me, it was a waste of time to try to use the manual pump that fits on the bottle.. It broke after only a couple of pumps, so I ran the fill tube through the cap to the bottom of the bottle, and ran a small tube to the top of the bottle from my air compressor through a nozzle to control the pressure. The air pushed the fluid up into the transmission in less than a minute... Just be careful not to over pressure the transmission fluid bottle...
