Try a spare key? I had a dead key chip and car did same thing
May be a good time to program VATS off.

I don't have spare key... I tried turn the key to on position for 15 min and try to start it. It didnt start. Is there any other way to disable VATS?

So, what it is finally, it's the after market alarm. I have removed last summer. Apparently, the guy left some active parts. They are messing with the starter now.

got the car back today. charged me 450 for change the starter. i feel i got ripped off...and it doesn't sound even close to how it sound before when it starts. the roaring sound is gone! it's like old man coughing blood when taking too much Viagra!
