Ok guys facing my first real problem with the car. I had taken my rear calipers completely off the car to be painted. Once painted i put them on and bled the brakes 4-5 times making sure that there was no air in the system. Now for some reason on the inside i am getting a hissing sound in general and it doesnt change if i press the brakes. It only changes somewhat if i turn on the A/C. I am also facing issues with the brake pedal having too much travel before it finally "catches" and will let me brake hard. It is soft through 3/4 of pressing the brakes and the last 1/4 will actually "catch" and let me brake efficiently. I dont know what could be causing this issue? I was thinking of ordering a new master cylinder and brake booster and going from there. The abs light is on from needing a new hub/wheel bearing but that was on before hand just need to get around to changing it. What could it be? Your guys thoughts?
Did you let it run dry? If so, their could be air in the TC/ABS system. Try jacking up the rear and running it so the TC kicks on or doing some panic stops in the rain to kick the ABS on followed by more bleeding. Or, you could take it some place with a Tech II and they will be able to active the different solenoids and bleed the air out.
Ya i did run it dry. I had just got the exhaust put on and my friend wanted to here it so without thinking i had started it No way to really engage the abs without putting the hub/wheel bearing in so off to the dealer i go to get them to use the tech 2 and bleed the brakes again.
Yes when i pump the brakes i can feel the pedal getting harder to push and the pedal is higher
