Default Cold air kit?

Hi all! My name is Jon. I'm new to the C5 and have a question about cold air intakes. Without spending alot of money on a kit, say under $400.00 whats going to give me the best results for power K&N or some other company? Do I just need to buy a bridge? A little advice would be great on whats going to net me the best bang for my budget. Thanks!

MANY ways to go on this subject . There are many different types in use and we all feel ours is best. Take a look at some of the comments from other members using different types and kinds of "cold air kits".
I use a twin cone type and opened up the ducts....uses outside air rather than under hood air.

Try this. Find a used Blackwing filter, i found one for $100, modify the radiator shroud with a sawzall or similar cutting tool making an opening the same diameter as the filter. remove the shroud, make an outline the same diameter as the filter, carefully cut the outline, reinstall the shroud, bolt up the filter and intake housing, its all good. It a cheap way to have a quality intake that will ingest much more air than the stock setup. This was my PERSONAL CHOICE. This may not be for everyone else, but I kept a lot more change in my pocket and got cooler intake temps, cooler engine temps, and a few more horses in the bargain. You can also find a used shroud for cheap, in case you decide to go back to stock. I always try to help a fellow vetter save some coin. You may be able to find a used Blackwing as well as a used shroud here on the forum from time to time. My two cents. Good Luck.
