Default Continuous bad luck

First this week was the NRG lug nuts thing, (which I did get taken care of for today).

But what happened yesterday was pretty scary! My OEM damper failed and the entire outer ring came off and went back into the timing chain cover!
I had to make the call to just get if fixed for now as its my DD. But it sucks that Im looking into my cam swap soon and this all would have been done and renewed at the same time .

Anyways, an ATI damper is going on and its getting keyed to the crank. So at least Ill have that done when the time comes.

Wow! Did it cut into the cover? How many miles on it? Throw that cam in while its apart!!!!!

Good thinking on the key. I didn't pin mine while it was apart and of course now I'm thinking about supercharging :-(

Boy there sure is a black cloud over your head lately.

Was wondering if you meant that you are going to pin the crank, or do you already have a crank that that has a keyway in it?

Look at the bright side.
No matter how bad things seem to be, they could always be worse.

I have 76k on my car! So it must have been age that did it in. And there are marks on the cover, but it should be fine.

And the crank is getting pinned with this new ATI unit. Yes it could have been worse. It could have happened while going down the road, but it just happened in the driveway on start up.
