Is there a specific Cam Degree kit for an LS1 or does everyone just use a SB chevy one?

I just got off the phone with Comp Cams and they said that a SB chevy Cam degree kit would work on the LS1 motor.

Do you need to degree the cam? I think most people install it straight up (dot to dot).

Degreeing it is not necessary, dot-to-dot is just fine. However, if he's gonna have the heads,etc off you could dial the cam in perfectly with a timing kit ;)

Thanks for the additional thoughts, I just got off the phone with Comp Cams and he said to install by dots. :yesnod: Lets see how much this 230 single pattern 578 lift works. :lol:
