Need to replace the shocks on the 1998; it has the selective ride shocks which I would like to change out.
Has anyone had this done in the Austin, TX area? Removing shocks, deleting selective ride codes(tech II tool) and installing standard shocks. I know the process just can find anyone that has done this before.....
You need to access the programming in the BCM.. Its actually an RPO Code that needs to be deselected. As trog stated It requires use of the TECH2. Any shop or person with a TECH 2 can do it.
NO,,, HP Tuners or EFI Live can not interface with the BCM. You must use the TECH 2. You also have to disconnect the ride control computer in the rear hatch well and NEVER reconnect it again! If you do, it will revive the Selective Ride crap!
