The shifts are a much shorter throw. It has a stiff, crisp and accurrate feel. Stiffness in side to side effort is about 35% greater ( I am using the lightest outer spring only, no inner spring at all). Effort to shift straight back and forth is also increased about 35%.
It feels like 3rd is impossible to miss now. It just feels like the shifter is going right into it, because the throw is so short there is nowhere else to go.
It will take awhile to get use to, it does change the character of the car somewhat towards a more race car feel. There is no problem going into 5th, 6th or reverse, it goes in fine. I don't have any noise/vibration issues, but I have not been able to go high rpm yet.
The install is very easy, best tip (from another forum member) is stuff a towel around the tunnel opening so that you can't drop a tool or bolt in there!iI did not use the shift stop bolts, I removed them completely. They come from the factory loose as a goose, so at least locktite them down out of the way, so they won't move and jam up your linkage!
I know people say it can't happen, but I have the feeling it will loosen up some, and will feel even nicer with time. Thank you Nate at Extreme!

That would be me. What do you think there is to loosen up? If you moved the lever up and back before you installed it, you know there is virtually zero resistance when it is not installed in the car. Therefore, the transmission is the "limiting" factor. Not the shifter. That would only leave the springs to loosen up in the side-to-side direction. Trust me, they won't. There is good news though. You will think it loosens up as you just get used to it.
