oil filter wrenches
Which oil filter wrench do you prefer?I am ready to do my first oil change and want to know what wrenches work best for removing the pf44.I will be using upf 44's from now on so will the same wrench work on this filter or will I need a different one?

Don't know the name of it but all auto parts stores sell them. It fits onto the socket wrench and it fits the end of the filter perfectly. They are usually black powdercoated. Easiest one to use.

The filters are different. I have AC-Delco filter wrenches. Take the UPF-44 with you to be sure it fits. You could borrow a PF-44 in stock to compare. Some aftermarket wrenches may fit both. Good luck. :seeya

I use a strap wrench. In 10 years I've never found a filter I couldn't remove.
It even gets the over tightened ones.
