My driver's side power seat track isn't fully responsive. To move the seat in any direction (forward/reverse/up/down) I have to depress the control more than once to go the full direction. Sometimes multiple times for example to move the seat back I push it once it may go a little and then stop and then I have to press again , it will go a little more , then again, etc.
Which part of the seat track needs to be replaced or repaired to make it fully funcitonal?

Sounds more like a faulty switch to me. I don't think the seat track would do that.
Mine suffers from the same problem, strangely its gotten better with time.
it is likely not teh seat track itself, I have replaced mine and it did little to nothing about this particular problem (I had a broken adjuster also, so the track needed replacement anyway)
other possibilities are the SCM or relay box, depending on if you have memory seats or not. I've seen recomendations to remove the module and reflow/reinforce the solder bonds on the relay terminals. although I tried that as well with no luck.
my problem is minor enough I haven't taken the next step, which would probably be replacing the switch. or at least trying to take the switch apart to see if there are contacts which can be cleaned.
Mine does that too and unfortunately I am fully engaged in a war between myself and the minions of the Gremlin King at present......
I thought perhaps the SCM and/or switch. However the flange was broken and needed to be replaced. After completing that task I found that it no longer did it as frequently. Coincidence no doubt. But I got codes a plenty that I relate to sensors in SCM. But these Days it's better. Put my money on the switch.
