Default The Loosening Gas Cap

I have a 99, stock C5 with 74,000 miles. After I first got it several months ago, there was an issue with the cars gas cap so I picked a new one up at the dealer. It has seemed to work just fine. However....we're on an extended road trip and I have noticed on the last few fill ups that the cap seems to come loose. Not to the point of fall off, but to the point where a half turn and it's off. After I fill up, I always turn it so it clicks three or four times before closing the fuel door yet it still seems to "come loose."

This could be absolutely normal and I just didn't notice it with the first gas cap or on my 97 when I had it. But thought I'd check in and see if anyone has any thoughts.

We're having a great trip.... NC down through the southern states to Houston, then up to the Panhandle of TX and on our way home in a few days.

Thanks, no problem with the CEL so I'm not gonna worry.

If you start throwing code 0442 or 0422 (I forget which one), then you'll know that it's causing problems. Until then I wouldn't worry about it.
