Need solution for Code P0118 H C

The wires in the back of the connector are easily damaged and pulled out of the actual pin and can look attached. The sensor gets 5 VDC on one wire and the signal out is the other wire. Do you have the 5 VDC?
Read the other wire to ground and see if you get any resistance readings. Examine the female pins inside the harness connector and make sure that they are not damaged and spread apart.
Let us know what you find.

BOTH wires go ALLLLLLLLLLLL the way to the PCM!
However,,,,,,,,,, look at the rear of the drivers side fuel rail. In OEM configuration, there is a BLACK Metal Bracket that the engine wiring harness bends around to go to the main engine harness. The point where it bends around the bracket can and sometimes does chafe thru and cause shorts and issues like you are seeing. Check there first. Untape the harness and follow the wires.
On driver side coil pack, both wires were pinched and broken under coil pack bracket below alt. Repaired breaks in wires. Voltage @ 5VDC. Started up. No codes or check engine warning. Both analog & digital water temp gauges work correctly. Thanks to you, problem solved. Thanks again.
