I had the switch on my 2000 go all of a sudden. Last week the dealership did a tune-up and right away the oil pressure switch went. Coincidence? they say so. Has anyone had this problem? I now have 96,000 kms. The parts are going to cost 282.00. plus labor of 288.00.
3 hour job. Recommend you pull the intake. Lots of post on this subject including pictures. Good luck.
3 hours if it's your first time turning a wrench, and you take a 2 hour beer break
OP, do a search there are PLENTY of write-ups on how to pull the intake...It shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour to move it forward enough to access the sending unit
If your going to do it you may as well do it right! There's allot of dirt and crap that accumulates under the intake. You risk sliding some of that stuff in the cylinders. You've gone this far by removing the intake bolts you should go all the way.

Thank you for the great advise, will try to do it ourselves.
One more issue I have now. I had a miss/hesitation when off the line and/or passing, dealership diagnosed it and said it needed a tune up. Did that, they said C02 sensors were fine not triping a code, still think that's was the issue. After the tune up they did a road test??? but it still has the same problem. Anything else possiblty wrong? or ideas?
