Start with checking the connector to the ebcm. Pull it off and check for bent pins, pulled wires, or corrosion. It gets harder after this and you will need a meter to check voltages and resistance. If you have a 2001-04 parts are available if needed.

I will start checking connections. This is the unit on the drivers side under the power steering unit? There are hyd lines on top.

What is strange is I can drive 200 miles or drive 10 miles no DTC flashing warnings. Shut the car off, restart then the DTC starts flashing service active handling system.

I do thank you for the help.

I called Brandon at ABSFixer this morning for any ideas. His comment was remove the connector from EBTCM.Spray with electrical contact cleaner. Also,do the same with ground 101.

After this was completed I went for a 40 mile test. After returning I checked for codes with the engine running,NO CODES. Only time will tell if my good luck continues.

Brandon did say the unit with C1277 is not repairable. He sells repaired units for $300.

As Mr.Bill says ck grounds and connectors.

Good luck to anyone with these codes.

I have a 2003 with 38,000 miles on it. Mint condition, one day I recieved those 2 exact same codes.Did a little research on here and came across the ignition switch cleaning rebuild thread. Took out the ignition switch and sure enough 3 burnt contacts. Cleaned it up put it back together and the codes disappeared and have not returned.
It's worth looking into, pretty easy to clean the ignition switch. Like I said I had the exact same 2 codes as you.
