What Happened??!
I change the oil, check the fluids every time before I get it out for the season. The car has been down the 1/4 mile, maybe 5-6 passes, other than that just street driving with the occasional romp here and there. Its on its 3rd set of rear tires, still original fronts. I've never had any kind of problem with it. The clutch- if bad- gave No warning, No stink, No noise, nothing.
If it needs a new clutch, can someone recommend a clutch- I'm leaning towards a stock Z06 set up for the o1-04. The car is stock except air filter, and exhaust. Also, I understand I need about 22-24'' under the car to do the swap, and a remote bleeder. I cant believe the clutch is gone with this milage and usage. When I put it in gear-any gear- it chatters and barely moves. I had to have it towed- which really sucked a$$- but would like to mention- if your ever in Ann Arbor Michigan, Sakstrups is as good as it gets. The guy had what he called a Ferrari strap, a choker, and several wood step up ramps. They got it back to my place with NO damages at all. He even was able to ease it into my garage- which is on a steep hill- and hard to get a truck backed up to it. He was not bothered by me bone hawking the crap out him while he worked either. Just wanted to mention that.
Also, if I have lost my clutch do to neglect of fluid- whats next? Should ALL fluids be changed/flushed? I thought it was a milage thing, over years in the car. I had the antifreeze transfusion at the dealer a couple of years ago, thats about it. Thought i was taking good care of her.........
If it sounds like the clutch, then I would suspect you broke the center out of the clutch disk.
If it's from the rear, pull the diff first and see if it's in the trans or the diff. Basically, pull the diff and then run it and see if the trans goes through the gears and spins the output shaft the way it should. I'm thinking if it's the rear that you broke an output shaft in the diff. You'd have a hole in the diff and the oil on the ground if you broke something bigger back there.

No fluids. On the ground or housing
No sounds leading up to the failure
It will move, but hates it, and wont go far. It makes the chattering sound when you try to engage the clutch, no sound out of gear- I would not accelerate when I tried to get it off the freeway. So movement is a few feet at best.
I raised the rear tires and checked the rear end, no grinding or anything out of the ordinary. Car was out of gear
Thanks on the nod for the Z clutch. Figured on doing the whole nine if I go in. Hoped I could flush the system and get the season out of it.
Research has shown Goodyear Eagle EMTs are soft, and wear quickly on hot pavement.........
Going new on all four corners in the fall.

Assuming its the hydraulics, more than disc wear. My pressure plate is stamped LUK right on it.
Does anyone have any experience with a Hayes brand assembly?
Going to replace the whole nine yards, do not want a LUK, and apparently the stock c5 and stock c5 zo6 clutches are all made by LUK. Also can anyone confirm the 04 hydraulics will work on my 00 FRC?
