Default c6z06 shocks

Just got my new c6z06 shocks. Installing on a 2004 C5 coupe.
Opened box and saw no hardware provided with the front shocks. I know I can use the washer and nut over again but how about the rubber bushing?
should I get new ones? Or do you take a chance on the old ones? Guess hardware does not come with them.
Any help appreciated.

Thanks

OK now you went and confused me. The shock has a rubber bushing on it to fit in the hole of the metal shock support. Illustration on one of the parts shows nut, metal washer and what is called an insulator. It is the insulator that goes on top from what I can see. Is this what you are saying is re-used? are you also saying to install the shock without the bushing that is on the shock???

Thank You

oh no. keep the lower bushing that fits in your frame hole. that's the item you want to replace. the upper insulator that fits over it is what you reuse.

worst part about changing front shocks is getting them in and out. i tried a variety of ways and finally settled on loosening the upper control arms. you don't have to unbolt them, just back them off enough for the shock to come out

That is what I thought. The new shocks come with the lower bushing so that is not an issue. When I take them apart if the upper bushing (called insulator) is dried and not good then I will stop and order new ones. You would think they would provide new ones.

Thank yo for the help.
