Default My C5 l92/LS3 build thread (Need Help!)

So I figured I should start a thread. My original intentions was to pull the stock ls1 and put rod bolts, mill the heads, and a new cam. Found a good deal on a l92 out of a 08 denali and picked it up instead.

Motor is sittting on a stand now, waiting for cam/timing set to come in.

Plans are
TSP cam
double roller set
Arp Studs
Ls9 gaskets
Ls3/l76 intake
90mm TB
Asp UD Pulley
Lingenfelter 24x converter box

Wanna build a turbo setup, use a pt7675, and fab the whole kit in my garage. Looking at doing a front mount, similiar to the hinson kit but bring the driver side manifold through the front, not around the back.

Looking forward to your build!

That block will be excellent for Boost, they can take a real thumping and continue to produce!

Engine bay looks really good too!

I pulled my motor from the top as well, piece of cake!

Thanks,Matt

Build looks good bud! I just finished up a LS2 swap in mine. One suggestion I have is if you are using the Casper's cam & knock sensor relocation harness then go ahead and swap the outside pins on the plug of the cam sensor or you'll be pulling the harness back out like I did.

Its a common problem as I came to find out. Hope all goes well for you man!

So i got the motor together and put in, turns out the l92 isn't machine to accept the ls1 style pilot bearing, so now i need to figure out how to use the bigger ls7/ls3 style pilot bearing with my ls1 input shaft, i think im gonna have to take it out of the torque tube and have it shortened. anyone run into this issue, i feel like i have search everywhere on the internet, i called rpm transmissions and they suggested a 1/2 spacer or a viper t56 bell housing but i don't want to move the motor mounts.
