Thanks for the info. Does anyone know if the Dealerships cover TSB's when the car is out of factory warranty? I do have an aftermarket one but would rather try and get Chevy to pay for it.

 

As a "rule of thumb",GM wont cover something that is out of warranty if you have an extended warranty...

The lists clearly show the numerous problems of the C5 for many years. It is a shame that it has taken Chevrolet so many years to determine a "fix" for the numerous defects.

The important key here is that you would have a documented history while under warranty,and if a usless aftermarket warranty company wont pick up the tab,GM may offer some assistance...Just one more reason to have GMPP as opposed to other aftermarket warranties :yesnod:

 

I had a problem with my top wearing the tonneau and sqweaking when the top is folded.Also speaker rattle in passenger door.They did their fix on the door,but it still makes noise and they said there was no fix for the top!!!!!This is why I would never recomend this dealer to anyone!!!!!Do I have any recourse?

Hey "Slammed Vette", it appears as though your Cardboard Box is somewhere in or near Chicago. Which dealership did you have problems with? Is there one or more Chicago area dealerships that you recommend for service? I've taken mine to Bill Kay, but only for very routine stuff to this point.

 

The dealer I was talking about was Bill Kay!!!I wouldn't recomend them to my worst enemy!!!!!If you have ANYwarranty work I would highly recomend Jason @ Team Chevy!!!!!!!I wouldn't let Bill Kay change the oil On my Hyundai work beater!!!!!!If you want any after market work done come see us at The Vette Wrench!!!!
