Wiring connector under bezel?
I've REALLY got to find a set of 03 shop manuals for sale!
Anyhow, I pulled my bezel to install a new stereo head unit and see the connector in the picture just hanging. I don't *think* it was attached to anything on the bezel but am hoping someone here knows for sure?

dunno - never tried it ;-) lol The cig lighter attaches to that somehow huh.... ok - don't see how cause the cig. lighter just has a pointed prong on it but I'll try different combos until the sucker fits somehow. Gotta waste some time 'till Fed Ex gets the head unit here anyhow.

It clips around the metal cylinder and that HOOK on the connector keeps it from popping back off. Figure out where that hook snaps into and that will tell you how it is oriented.

Yeah, just got it snapped on - easy once i knew it was for that. I'm just so afraid of screwing something on this puppy up....

For future reference:
Btw, ANY yellow connector (like the one in your picture) is directly associated with the airbag system. The silver box it's plugged into is the SDM (Safety & Detection Module) and it's the "brain" that deteremines when/if to deploy your airbags.
When you get your FSM, take a moment or two and read up on the SRS and it's components and more importantly, the "dos and "don'ts" involving it's electrical connectors and circuitry.

Btw, when you are scrolling your way down the list on your DIC when checking for trouble codes, i.e. "PCM", "BCM", "RFA", "RADIO", etc, that silver box is the "SDM" which is also on the list.

Thanks! I'll pull the codes tomorrow. I'm bushed. The car's showing no signs of anything wrong. The 12 disk cd changer finally gave up the ghost so I ripped that out and replaced the stock stereo head unit with a CASSETTE?!? with one that handles the IPOD and is a CD. I don't even *have* any cassettes any more. lol
