Default help! not starting

just picked up my 98 C5 from a garage where I had
- oil and filter change
- Tranny fluid changed
- Cutch fluid flushed and filled

started the car at the garage fine, drove it fine, got gas, started it again, parked it at work and now nothing. It has power, tried to jump it just in case - nothing. The gauges all hop to and when the key is in start i get a check engine light and nothing happens.
I fiddled with the clutch sensor behind the pedal, I tried holding the clutch at various levels - nothing.
I reset the fob and fiddled with lock/security stuff and nothing.
Called the garage and they are as baffled as me, saying they cant tell much without having the car.
Help!

After you turn the key to full start position, try slowly releasing pressure (rotate back) on the key.
Mine did this and the starter would engage about an 1/8th inch back.

Check your battery cables. This happened to me, once and I found the positive cable connector loose on the battery terminal.
