C1242 Won't Clear
Just replaced the EBCM on a friend's 2002 6-Speed. Third one I've done and have run into some issues. Got the module repaired by ABS Fixer, same guy I used for that last 2 I've done. Unit went back in OK, before starting,cleared all the codes- BUT - C1242 H C keeps popping back up and won't go away. It come BACK up even before I get out of the IPC. The dash ABS & TC icons go out for about 1-2 seconds but come right back on. Check both grounds on the frame behind the headlights. Could it be the power connector? Also had engine problems immediately after this but was able to make that go away via battery disconnect for about 15 minutes. Not sure what that was related to. Any ideas. Tried to help out a friend and now am in a real bind since nothing appears to be fixed and he's out $160 so far.

Problem may be with the bpmv pump motor. Code indicates a ground circuit on the pump open but I have no personal experience with this problem.
