Default Ls7 c5 -which supercharger?

I have a ls7 swapped crammed and forged c5. I am at 480 460 on a mustang Dyno but want more power. How would I go about ordering a blower? I doubt there is a kit made for this and I know I cannot run much more than 5 lbs of boost but how would I go about it?

Thanks! A buddy of mine did the actual swap in his garage. It was tuned by Scott at in tune motorsports which is north of Cleveland Tennessee. It has great manners which I enjoy.

There is nothing about an LS7 that would keep it from using a blower kit designed for an LS1/LS6 engine. I have LS7 heads on a C5R block 427 running a Procharger F1C; all the brackets, drive parts, etc. are basic LS stuff. You could definitely get away with 10 pounds of boost on a forged motor, especially if you add a meth system.

Those numbers seem low for a built LS7. What other mods do you have? What is the compression ratio? You may be able to get a more aggressive cam and stay NA.

It has a smaller cam with only .625 lift and 232 int 248ex duration. Keep in mind that is through a mustang dyno and not a dynojet. A dynojet would probably yield around 530 rwhp.

Aside from the cam I think the limiting factor is 1 5/8 SLP longtubes and cats. I think exhaust would pick it up another 15 RWHP or so.

Compression is 11.8 to 1 which is a little high for supercharger but I know that people do it with good fuel and meth.

I can hear your motor gasping for air Would you not optimize your current configuration before adding FI?

Have a look at the data log of your dyno run & you will see vacuum building.

Poor motor

Any track numbers?

I'm working on track times at the moment. I hope to have some times soon. I would be very happy with a 7.30 1/8th mile at around 100 mph.

wow, them're small primaries for a built, big-cube engine. shoot, i'm using 1.75 on my stockish 5.3 truck.

as for the blower, what kind of power are you looking for? if you were going for all-around street power or road coursing, i'd recommend a Whipple or a 2300, but judging by the fat Hoosiers & 1/8mi time, i'm assuming you're looking to drag race, right? in that case, i'd probably say go turbo or an F1. either way, you'd better have some dang good gas & a great tuner if you're boosting with almost 12:1 & i sure wouldn't cheap out on the meth kit. if you're sticking with the cam you've got, the crank-driven turbo would be your better bet.

i'd also recommend stepping up to a bigger set of headers - at least 1 7/8 or 2"

17/8 headers and 3.0" exhaust. A cam more suited to an ls7 would be a lot cheaper and probably get you another 50hp

Im looking for around 650 RWHP and would like it to be streetable as possible. Not drag strip oriented I just like to hook and the weight savings of the drag pack.

Do they make a whipple for this setup? With the head port design and unique accessory layout I was wondering if they did. I would love to have a whipple tho.

As far as the headers I agree I need a lot bigger ones I just love the setup with the cutouts. The H pipe is actually 3 inch and at the very end goes to 2.5 for the TI exhaust.

The cam is the low lift lethal cam from ragin racing. It is suppose to be designed for the ls7 from what I was told. The regular lift lethal is suppose to make 20 hp more or so.
